This short course is an introduction to effective incident management, reportable incidents & investigation for all NDIS providers & staff
This 3 hour session is facilitated via Zoom.
Registered NDIS providers are required to comply with the National Disability Insurance Scheme Incident Management & Reportable Incident Rules to effectively identify, assess, manage and resolve incidents that happen in connection with service and support delivery to people with disability.
Educating and training staff in incident management and reportable incidents is a mandatory requirement for all NDIS registered providers.

Effective management of incidents is crucial to safeguard people with disability who are receiving service and supports from a registered NDIS provider. Provider’s are required to ensure that all workers are trained in incident management and have the confidence and capability to identify, respond to, manage and resolve incidents.
This session is a great introduction into effective Incident Management, based on the mandatory requirements of the NDIS Practice Standards and the NDIS Incident Management & Reportable Incident Rules.
Who Should Attend?
All NDIS Providers, key personnel and staff (persons employed or otherwise engaged by a provider) who would like to learn more about how to identify, manage, respond to and report on an incident.
Course objectives for learners:
- Understand the mandatory requirements of the NDIS Incident Management & Reportable Incident Rules 2018
- Identify incidents & reportable incidents
- Have the confidence to safely respond to and manage incidents
- Identify when an investigation is required
- Report on and record an incident
- Understand allegations & suspected reportable incidents
Students will have the opportunity to listen and learn from real-life case studies & examples.
